Good Morning, Hula Girl! A Heartfelt Pause: When We Feel Lost

Good Morning, Hula Girl! A Heartfelt Pause: When We Feel Lost

Good morning, Hula Girl šŸŒ…

Todayā€™s post is a little different. I want to open up to you, not just as someone who writes here each day but as a fellow woman navigating this journey we call life. To be honest, Iā€™ve been feeling lost. Iā€™ve gone a couple of weeks without posting, and some days I question my own direction. Life can feel overwhelming, and itā€™s easy to lose sight of where weā€™re going. I know many of you have felt this way, tooā€”that feeling of not quite knowing the path forward or wondering if the efforts we put into today will make a difference tomorrow. Thereā€™s a verse thatā€™s been on my mind during these times, one that reminds me that itā€™s okay to pause, breathe, and let go of tomorrowā€™s worries:

ā€œTherefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.ā€
ā€”Matthew 6:34

This verse is so simple, yet so powerful. Itā€™s a reminder to live here and now, to focus on today without being weighed down by the unknowns of tomorrow.

Why We Sometimes Feel Lost

I believe that feeling lost is a part of the journey. When weā€™re lost, weā€™re searching, and that searching often brings us closer to understanding who we are and what matters most. Sometimes, life can feel like weā€™re circling back to the same questions without answers, but itā€™s in those moments that weā€™re often learning the most.

Itā€™s okay to be lost. Itā€™s okay to admit that we donā€™t have it all figured out. And itā€™s okay to step back to find our center again.

Learning to Trust Each Day

In moments like these, Matthew 6:34 gives me the reassurance I need: I donā€™t need to have it all figured out today, or tomorrow, or even next week. Itā€™s okay if all I manage to do today is to breathe, pray, and take things one step at a time.

Hereā€™s what Iā€™m learning:

  1. Be Gentle with Ourselves: I know Iā€™m not alone in this. If youā€™re feeling lost, too, letā€™s remember to be kind to ourselves. Taking time to breathe, to step back, and to feel is not a setback; itā€™s a necessary pause for growth.

  2. Trust in Small Steps: Even if I donā€™t know what tomorrow holds, I can find strength in taking one small step today. Whether thatā€™s writing, sharing, or simply showing up, Iā€™m learning to let go of perfection and embrace progress, however small it may be.

  3. Let Go of the ā€œWhat Ifsā€: Worry can be so consuming, but we donā€™t have to carry the weight of tomorrow. Iā€™m learning to release the ā€œwhat ifsā€ and trust that today is enough.

A Heartfelt Apology and Gratitude

If youā€™ve been following along with these posts, you may have noticed the gap. I want to thank you for being patient with me as I navigate these ups and downs. Iā€™m grateful for this community and for each one of you who reads, comments, and shares your own stories. You remind me that even when we feel lost, weā€™re never truly alone.

Thank you for being here. Thank you for sharing in this journey, for growing with me, and for allowing me to be honest about my own path.

Todayā€™s Reflection:

ā€œEach day has enough trouble of its own.ā€ I find peace in this verse because it reminds me that the weight of tomorrow doesnā€™t have to rest on my shoulders today. All we need to do is focus on now, on the little moments of today, and the rest will take care of itself.

Letā€™s Keep Going Together

If youā€™re feeling lost, too, I encourage you to take things one day at a time. Lean on Matthew 6:34 and trust that today is enough. We donā€™t need to have all the answers right now. Letā€™s take this journey step by step, hand in hand.

Are you feeling lost too? Iā€™d love to hear from you. Letā€™s remind each other that itā€™s okay to take our time and that weā€™re not alone in the search for direction.

Hereā€™s to Today, Just as It Is!!!
