Good Morning, Hula Girl! A Heartfelt Pause: When We Feel Lost
Share
Good morning, Hula Girl š
Todayās post is a little different. I want to open up to you, not just as someone who writes here each day but as a fellow woman navigating this journey we call life. To be honest, Iāve been feeling lost. Iāve gone a couple of weeks without posting, and some days I question my own direction. Life can feel overwhelming, and itās easy to lose sight of where weāre going. I know many of you have felt this way, tooāthat feeling of not quite knowing the path forward or wondering if the efforts we put into today will make a difference tomorrow. Thereās a verse thatās been on my mind during these times, one that reminds me that itās okay to pause, breathe, and let go of tomorrowās worries:
āTherefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.ā
āMatthew 6:34
This verse is so simple, yet so powerful. Itās a reminder to live here and now, to focus on today without being weighed down by the unknowns of tomorrow.
Why We Sometimes Feel Lost
I believe that feeling lost is a part of the journey. When weāre lost, weāre searching, and that searching often brings us closer to understanding who we are and what matters most. Sometimes, life can feel like weāre circling back to the same questions without answers, but itās in those moments that weāre often learning the most.
Itās okay to be lost. Itās okay to admit that we donāt have it all figured out. And itās okay to step back to find our center again.
Learning to Trust Each Day
In moments like these, Matthew 6:34 gives me the reassurance I need: I donāt need to have it all figured out today, or tomorrow, or even next week. Itās okay if all I manage to do today is to breathe, pray, and take things one step at a time.
Hereās what Iām learning:
-
Be Gentle with Ourselves: I know Iām not alone in this. If youāre feeling lost, too, letās remember to be kind to ourselves. Taking time to breathe, to step back, and to feel is not a setback; itās a necessary pause for growth.
-
Trust in Small Steps: Even if I donāt know what tomorrow holds, I can find strength in taking one small step today. Whether thatās writing, sharing, or simply showing up, Iām learning to let go of perfection and embrace progress, however small it may be.
-
Let Go of the āWhat Ifsā: Worry can be so consuming, but we donāt have to carry the weight of tomorrow. Iām learning to release the āwhat ifsā and trust that today is enough.
A Heartfelt Apology and Gratitude
If youāve been following along with these posts, you may have noticed the gap. I want to thank you for being patient with me as I navigate these ups and downs. Iām grateful for this community and for each one of you who reads, comments, and shares your own stories. You remind me that even when we feel lost, weāre never truly alone.
Thank you for being here. Thank you for sharing in this journey, for growing with me, and for allowing me to be honest about my own path.
Todayās Reflection:
āEach day has enough trouble of its own.ā I find peace in this verse because it reminds me that the weight of tomorrow doesnāt have to rest on my shoulders today. All we need to do is focus on now, on the little moments of today, and the rest will take care of itself.
Letās Keep Going Together
If youāre feeling lost, too, I encourage you to take things one day at a time. Lean on Matthew 6:34 and trust that today is enough. We donāt need to have all the answers right now. Letās take this journey step by step, hand in hand.
Are you feeling lost too? Iād love to hear from you. Letās remind each other that itās okay to take our time and that weāre not alone in the search for direction.
